ENTRY DEADLINE: October 27, 2017


DELIVERY OF ACCEPTED WORK: November 16, 12-7 pm & November 17, 9 am-4 pm

EXHIBITION: November 22 – December 20

OPENING RECEPTION: November 24, 7-9 pm

PICK UP: December 21, 9 am-4 pm & January 12, 12-6 pm

SIZE AND ELIGIBILITY: There is no entry fee. All works of art must be 2-dimensional and no larger than 6 x 6 inches (including frame) and wired. Work that is not ready for installation may be rejected from exhibition. Artists may submit up to 4 works of art.

HOW TO ENTER: Email up to 4 high resolution images (must be in jpg format) to Please include the following with digital submission:

  • Name, address and phone number
  • Images labelled with name, title of artwork, size, medium, date, retail price (i.e., JohnSmith_Title_40 x 60 cm_Oil on Canvas_2016_$500)

JURORS: Works of art will be juried by members of Silence’s art curation committee.

UPON ACCEPTANCE: Please deliver work to Silence, 46 Essex Street, Guelph, on Thursday, November 16, 12-7 pm or Friday, November 17, 9 am-4 pm. If these dates do not work, please email to arrange an alternate drop off date. All work must be clearly identified with DETACHABLE labels that include artist’s name, title of artwork, size, medium, date, retail price. Artist’s information (next page) must be completed and signed and submitted with works of art.

SALES: All submissions must be for sale. Silence will retain a 40% commission on all works sold. To calculate the retail price, please multiply your price by 1.4. We suggest a minimum price of $40. The price included in your submission will be the retail price of the artwork.
