We aim to offer a free, physically and sensory accessible space to gain skills and discuss grief in our lives.
In this workshop we will breakdown the basics of peer support and active listening through collectively cultivating, defining, and redefining what safe(r) spaces mean and what they can look like. The goal of this session is to unpack key terms, explore grassroots frames, identify specific trauma informed tools, build support skills, map resources, and spend time sharing in and with community. This training session is meant to equip folks with preliminary tools and resources while also providing the space to practice, make mistakes, and collectively navigate how to repair, support, and ultimately keep each other safe through a culture of interdependence and an ethic of care.
