SILENCE CLOSED UNTIL APRIL 6, 2020

Attention all Silence Guelph Community members:

After careful consideration of the current situation involving COVID-19. The team at Silence has made the difficult decision to cease all programming effective immediately until April 6th, 2020. While it is heart-breaking for us to be closing the doors on collective music-making, live performances, and physical community engagement, we know that our thriving community is capable of keeping the spirit of improvisation, experimentation and noise-making alive and well in the comfort of your own home.

Keep your eyes peeled for further announcements and for information on what you can do to support touring musicians, artists, performers, arts organizations and your community during these difficult times. We know that the energy you all bring to our space can do wonders out in the world (virtually). So while we encourage all to practice social-distancing as much as possible to help flatten the curve and slow the spread of this virus, we also encourage sharing art, poetry, music, and all kinds of creative expression with us and with your peers through whatever technology is available to you. We are so excited to watch what our community creates during this time.

For information on community need and collective care, we encourage you to check out CareMongering Guelph – Leaning Into Community During COVID19 and do what you can to support your neighbours.

With Love,
Silence, Guelph.
