Berliners Morten Larsen (Upright Bass) and Flo Fischer (Drums) join forces with Canadian friends Nicola Miller (Alto Sax) and Doug Tielli (Trombone).
The band strives to create a sound that captures vast, rural landscapes of Canada connected with the quirky and colourful vibrations of Berlin life. Expect influences from “Echtzeitmusik” and free jazz, but also with space for beautiful passages inspired by folklore and classical music. Florian, Morten and Nicola met in Berlin during their studies at the Jazz-Institute Berlin. Nicola introduced them both to Doug Tielli, and a strong connection through improvising music was established.
