Ariane Racicot is a Montreal jazz pianist and composer who rose to prominence following the success of her interpretation of bohemian rhapsody on Youtube in 2017. The video has accumulated more than 18 million views to date.

She first began her classical piano training at the age of 6, until she decided to turn to jazz ten years later.

While pursuing her studies at Cégep St-Laurent and the University of Montreal, under the direction of Lorraine Desmarais, Luc Beaugrand, John Roney and Simon Denizart, Ariane Racicot was able to perform many times on the Montreal jazz scene, notably at the Dièse Onze, the Upstairs Jazz Club, the Café Résonance as well as in Poland with Janusz Muniak. She is now busy completing her master degree at McGill University.

In 2019, she founded her own trio with Antoine Rochefort on electric bass and Guillaume Picard on drums, leading to the conception of her first album, Envolée. Released on May 6 on the Multiple Chord Music label, the production of Envolée was subsidized by the Canada Council for the Arts. This release allowed her to be crowned Révélation Jazz Radio-Canada 2022-2023, then to be invited to open for Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal on June 30.

Very active on social networks, Ariane has more than 22,000 subscribers on her Youtube channel, where you can find several jazz compositions and interpretations.

His playing is inspired by that of Hiromi Uehara, Tigran Hamasyan, Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett, in addition to incorporating elements of classical music and metal. Very passionate on stage, Ariane captivates the audience with her emotionality, her fiery energy and her generosity with the public.  In addition to releasing her first album Envolée and perfecting her mastery skills, Ariane has also been dedicated to teaching piano for almost ten years.
