On Saturday 27 January, 2024, Silence presents a Temporary Ensemble Night featuring local improvisers Jeff Bird, Emma Bortolon-Vettor, Ben Finley, Ajay Heble, Jonathan Kay, annais linares, and Joe Sorbara.
For nearly a decade, Silence board member and community organiser, Joe Sorbara, has been facilitating Temporary Ensembles Nights across the country, injecting new energy to creative music scenes in Toronto, Vancouver, Halifax, Hamilton, and Guelph by bringing improvisers and audiences together in unexpected ways.
In addition to celebrating local creativity and sonic adventurousness, this evening is being held in recognition of the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s contribution to the health and well-being of Silence and the communities we serve through a 2022 Capital Grant.
