Toronto’s suited rock two-piece The Lookout Service, is one of the most promising young bands in the city. Established in 2018, the duo is comprised of Stergios Kalochoridis (vocals & guitar) & Robert Ragazzo (drums). The band’s titanic sound and galvanizing live performances have grafted them into one of the most explosive bands in Toronto. The music commands the attention of the listener with powerful lyrics, soaring riffs, and thunderous drums. The band is a testament to the new generation of guitar bands and to rock music. The band has announced the upcoming release of their debut LP — The Gambit, set to release March 1st, 2024. The independently produced album showcases the versatility of the band and the dynamic range of their songwriting abilities.
Rachel Hickey is an emerging independent singer-songwriter based in Toronto, Ontario. Following her 2021 debut EP Getting By, Rachel’s sophomore 2022 EP, So Long further evolves her indie/folk sound and earned her coverage in Exclaim! magazine as well as plays on CBC Radio One. Rachel’s musical style can be described as folk-focused with a blend of indie, pop, and rock music inspired by artists like Joni Mitchell, Florence Welch, and Hey Rosetta!. Often centering around guitar, Hickey’s feeling-packed sound incorporates atmospheric supporting tones, strings, and traditional drums, using storytelling and descriptive imagery to captivate listeners.
