Artist Statement
Elisa’s practice explores the possibilities of natural materials, currently experimenting with form and sensory experiences. This painting series introduces her work in a two dimensional way, a way of storytelling strictly with illustrations. Referencing children’s tales and the dream state, the collection invites viewers to imagine their own narratives within each piece. Painted on unstretched canvas with a mixture of oil paint and beeswax, the works are individual yet connected, creating a layered space between memory, dream, imagination, and material presence.
