Highly acclaimed Canadian touring and recording artist / songwriter Selina Martin has independently released 5 albums that have been variously described by critics as “intelligent”, “brave”, “masterful”, “must-hear”, “provocative”, “remarkable”, “profound”, “genius”, and compared to Björk, PJ Harvey, Peter Gabriel, St. Vincent, and Talking Heads. “Time Spent Swimming” – her latest album – fuses organic instrumentation, electronic instruments, samples, field recordings, and synths in a buoyant expansion of genres that has been described as “beyond category”. It has received overwhelming acclaim in North America and Europe, and it debuted at number 1 on the NACC charts in the U.S.
