Dixi le Roux
Coming from an artistic family, Dixi le Roux has art in her veins. She had no formal art education. Working with established artists, she picked up valuable tips on methods, mediums, etc. After a few solo/shared shows, acceptance in juried shows, being a member of Art in the Park, Stratford and New Hamburg Art Tour, she gained confidence in what she is doing and is looking forward to more art adventures.
Artist Statement:
My work reflects what is underneath reality. My technique is a happy mixture of impressionism and contemporary paint applications. My art hopefully stimulates the imagination of the viewer. The power of suggestion is so much more than a view of reality.
Even though I mainly paint with acrylics, I do like to explore the possibilities of different mediums and methods.
For me art is the freedom to express, freedom to explore and the joy of an explosion of colours. Art is pure happiness.
