Kevin Wesaquate, poet, painter, welder & spoken word artist from Piapot First Nation, SK, founded Indigenous Poets Society. He is an Indigenous Art Leader with SCYAP since 2009 & loves combining written word, storytelling & visual imagery to create workshops for youth and adults in our communities.

Mike (O’dah ziibing/ Heart of the river) Ashkewe – Guelph Indigenous disability activist  from Neyaashiinigmiing, ON. He has worked as a media  commentator, reporter & podcaster since 2007.

Hope Engel is turtle clan, Oklahoma Choctaw, Chickasaw, Cherokee, Scotch-Irish & German. She is a two spirit, multiple-disabled, “indigenous femme-inist”, passionate about collaborative, creative community arts, being a “whole istic” (SEMP) practitioner, & co-creating “write” relations and sacred, caring communities.
