Nameless Friends is a rock band that wears matching uniforms, criticizes the government, and goes through a lot of glitter. Grand, funny, and vulnerable, the band does big songs for big feelings. They have been described as modern glam, prog-punk, metal-adjacent, and your new favourite band.
Nameless Friends has performed regularly across Ontario since 2018, including Indie Week 2019 in Toronto, ON; the 2019 #JunosWeekend in London, ON; and showcases for the City of Markham and Western University. They opened for the The Flatliners at the Horseshoe Tavern’s sold-out Stranded Fest pre-pandemic, which is available online in audio/video as “Nameless Friends, Live At Stranded Fest”. They have most recently shared bills with Wolf Saga, Jason Blaine, and Stuck on Planet Earth, and were featured on the main stage at Deep River Summerfest 2022.
Their debut original album, Blasphemy, will be released everywhere in Spring 2023. As of winter 2022, they have begun The [redacted] Tour, offering exclusive previews of that album across Canada. Nameless Friends is delighted to be female-fronted and a loud supporter of intersectional human rights everywhere.
Their members have been known to include Number One (vocals and guitar), Number Two (bass), Number Three (guitar), Number Four (drums), Number Five (vocals), Number Six (keys), Number Seven (also drums), and all seven of the four of us look forward to making your acquaintance.
Anela + the Early Hours
Anela & The Early Hours formed in 2016, when all 4 members stumbled upon each other while roaming the walls of silent halls in college. They found familiarity at night, as those were the hours music resonated with them the most. Resulting in songs like the earworm that slides its way into the brain and refuses to leave. Their debut album, Yesteryear came out in 2016, followed by a 5 song EP, My Escape in 2019.
In the fall of 2022, they released their best work yet. They’re new EP, Closure, encapsulates the band’s signature sound with new elements that’ve been anxiously waiting to be heard. Closure is exactly what listeners have been anticipating.
Anela & The Early Hours is available on all major streaming services
HouseCat is an indie-pop trio from Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario Canada. Composed of Caleb Huizenga, Emily Gilbart, and Shannon Lee, their debut single, Skeleton Man, was just released on Halloween. Critics are calling it the best song of all time since ever before, ever (No source). Their music can be described as catchy, devastatingly sad, and a little morbid.
